Water sports for beginners or families
- Stand-up paddleboarding: ideal for learning in just one or two hours. The sea is usually quite calm in the mornings.

- Electric boats: no licence required to drive them – a very relaxing option for couples or families

Water activities for those looking for fun
If you’re looking to have a great time full of laughter, excitement and adrenaline, short water activities (usually lasting between 10 and 20 minutes) are one of the most popular options amongst groups of friends and families with teenagers. They’re also perfect for enjoying as a group, celebrating a special occasion or adding a touch of adventure to a day at the beach.
Banana Boat: A water sports classic. Participants sit on an inflatable banana-shaped raft that’s towed by a speedboat at high speed.
Rocket: This inflatable, which can carry several people, reaches higher speeds and performs more dynamic manoeuvres, combining acceleration, turns and small jumps over the water
- Water UFO: This is a circular inflatable towed by a motorboat. Its design allows for rapid turns and glides across the sea’s surface, offering a thrilling experience for groups and families.
- Inflatable water park: These are veritable circuits of fun set up at sea. They include slides, trampolines, platforms, climbing walls, walkways and obstacles that will test your balance and Agility
Water sports for more advanced levels
If you already have experience in water sports and want to try your hand at more technical disciplines, Cambrils offers a wide variety of activities to hone your skills and enjoy new adventures at sea:
- Scuba diving courses: The Costa Daurada coastline is an excellent place to take up diving or take your skills to the next level. Diving centres organise courses for all levels, from your first dives to more specialised training
- PADI courses: If you’d like to obtain an internationally recognised certification, you can take a PADI course. The Open Water Diver level allows you to dive independently to a depth of 18 metres when accompanied by another certified diver.
- Wakeboarding: Wakeboarding combines the thrills of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing. Towed by a motorboat, you’ll glide across the water whilst learning turns, jumps and various manoeuvres.
- Windsurfing: Thanks to the wind conditions on certain days, Cambrils is a great destination for windsurfing. Courses are usually tailored to each participant’s level, from complete beginners to those wishing to improve their sail control, speed or manoeuvres on the open sea.
Water parks for the whole family
If you’d like to spend a day at a water park between June and September, we recommend the three closest to Cambrils:
- Caribe Aquatic Park: It forms part of PortAventura World and is themed around the Caribbean. It’s renowned for attractions such as King Khajuna, one of the tallest free-fall slides in Europe, as well as swimming pools, lazy rivers and children’s play areas.
- Aquopolis Costa Daurada: This is the largest water park on the Costa Daurada and a favourite choice for families and groups of friends. It features a wave pool, a wild river, children’s play areas, VIP areas and slides for the more daring.
- Aqualeón: Located about 40 minutes from Salou. It offers slides, swimming pools, children’s play areas and large green spaces. It’s a less crowded alternative in summer.
