Cambrils is a municipality located in a privileged corner of the Mediterranean, in the centre of the Costa Dorada, surrounded by the Llaberia, Argentera and Mussara mountain ranges. It is the second-largest town in the Baix Camp region.
Cambrils enjoys a typically Mediterranean mild climate, with average summer temperatures of 25°C and winter temperatures of 12°C. Average annual humidity ranges between 69% and 75%. Summers are not excessively hot, with highs of 27°C in August.
Cambrils celebrates its main festival in June, coinciding with St Peter’s Day, and in September it celebrates the day of Our Lady of the Way (Virgen del Camino).
Cambrils holds the Sports Tourism Destination certification thanks to its more than 23 km of cycle lane (right in front of Hotel Augustus), the Costa Daurada Nautical Station and the Yacht Club, which offer sea activities all year round.
Below, we present some activities where you are sure to find very interesting options.
One of its most valued attractions is its fine, golden sandy beaches that stretch for 9 km. In addition, parallel to our beaches is the seafront promenade, where you can enjoy — on foot or by bicycle via the cycle lane — the tranquillity and scenery of the Cambrils coastline.
Salou is a coastal town in the province of Tarragona on the Costa Dorada, 10 km from the city of Tarragona and 9 km from the city of Reus. It is considered the capital of the Costa Dorada, as it is the most important tourist destination.
Founded by the Greeks in the 6th century BC, the town was an important commercial port during the Middle Ages and the Modern Era. Throughout the 20th century, Salou became a major tourist centre, a status it maintains today, allowing it to grow significantly.
Nearby is the PortAventura World theme park.
Salou also holds the Sports Tourism Destination seal awarded by the Catalan Tourist Board in the football category with the facilities of the Fútbol Salou Sports Complex, the dinghy sailing category with the facilities of the Yacht Club, cycling tourism certification as well as the Golf brand. It hosts a variety of events at both national and international level: Rally RACC Costa Daurada, Mare Nostrum Cup or Challenge Salou.
